Attention Dads and Father Figures! 

Are you interested in being a part of the Watch D.O.G.S. program?

Just 3 EASY Steps to Volunteer for Watch D.O.G.S:

1. Become a PTA Member ($12)
2. Sign-up for a day that works for you (Sign-up coming)
3. Submit your FISD Background Check (Free!)

While final schedules may shift throughout the school year, expect to arrive at the school no later than 8:20am and leave after your child's school lunch time. While you are not expected to stay beyond that, you may stay until the end of the school day if you would like.  During the day, you will participate in activities such as helping school staff and the coaches at gym, and helping around the school to ensure it's safe and secure. 

The kids LOVE when you volunteer so expect to be active, smile a lot and dish out encouragement like you want your grandmother to dish out your favorite meal. We will do our best to ensure that you see your student throughout the day. If you have more than one student at the school, we will give you schedules for both grade levels for you to merge (or volunteer for more than one day!).

Before you volunteer, you will receive a reminder email from the Watch D.O.G.S. Coordinator with an orientation overview and sample schedule. PMSH will send an email to your student's homeroom teacher, letting them know you will be volunteering on campus. If you need to change your day, that's okay! Please let us know as soon as possible so we can give someone else the opportunity to volunteer in your original time slot. Thank you for volunteering! Remember, you are welcome to volunteer more than one day (just sign-up accordingly) and don't forget to recruit someone else to volunteer with you or for another day. Together, we truly can make a positive impact on PHMS!
