Are you interested in being a part of the Watch D.O.G.S. program?
Just 3 EASY Steps to Volunteer for Watch D.O.G.S:
- Become a PTA Member ($12)
- Sign-up for a day that works for you (Sign-up coming)
- Submit your FISD Background Check (Free!)
Watch D.O.G.S. Shirt (Process TBD - site under construction)
Responsibilities & Expectations (subject to change - site under construction)
Expect to be at the school only for the 1-2 hours that you are signed up for. During this time, you will participate in activities such as helping school staff and the coaches as needed; helping with the crosswalks in the morning or afternoon to ensure it's safe, and secure for students, and helping around lunchtime as kids are out in the courtyard.
Before you volunteer, you will receive a reminder email from the Watch D.O.G.S. Coordinator with an overview and sample schedule. PMSH will send an email to your student's homeroom teacher, letting them know you will be volunteering on campus. If you need to change your day, that's okay! Please let us know as soon as possible so we can give someone else the opportunity to volunteer in your original time slot. If you have any questions at all, email us at watchdogs@phmspta.org.
Thank you for volunteering! Remember, you are welcome to volunteer more than one day (just sign-up accordingly) and don't forget to recruit someone else to volunteer with you or for another day. Together, we truly can make a positive impact on PHMS!
